We had a great turnout for the 3rd Annual Macon Touchdown Club Middle Georgia Kick-off Classic.
Dublin won the first game over Tattnall Square Academy 55-0
Peach County won the second game over Northside Warner Robins 27-24

Mark your calendar for Saturday, August 25th, for the 3rd Annual Macon Touchdown Club Middle Georgia Kick-off Classic.This game is our major fundraiser for the Bobby Sanders Memorial Scholarships that are given out every February at our Spring Jamboree

2018 Macon Touchdown Club Season Is Almost Upon Us

Our season starts this year on August 25th, with our 3rd Annual Middle Georgia Kick-off Classic.

This year featuring Dublin vs. Tattnall Square Academy, and Northside vs. Peach County.

Our meetings will start on Monday, September 10th. Speakers confirmed so far will be:

Macon Touchdown Club Annual Spring Jamboree, Award Winners

On Monday night, February 12th, the Macon Touchdown Club will be holding its annual Spring Jamboree.
We are fortunate to have Auburn University Head Coach Gus Malzahn as our feature speaker this year.

As always, we will meet at The Methodist Home For Children, in The Rumford Center. The address is 304 Pierce Avenue, and the meeting begins at 6:00 pm.

Guest Fee is $30.00, and includes dinner, club activities, recognition of local and state high school athletes, recognition of local and state high school coaches, and the speaker.

Please RSVP to Lloyd Perkins at 478-256-6374, if you are not a member of the Macon Touchdown Club and would like to attend this meeting. Payment can be made by Cash or Check on the night of the event.

Schedule For Monday, November 27, 2017

On Monday night, November 27th, the Macon Touchdown Club will welcome J.T. Thomas as our feature speaker.

Macon native J.T. Thomas, who starred at Lanier High School and in college at Florida State before beginning a 10 year NFL career, returns home to end the Macon Touchdown Club Fall season. Thomas was an All State performer at Lanier for Coach Godfrey Steiner and then earned All America Honors at FSU where he was the school’s first black football player. He was a first round draft choice of the Pittsburgh Steelers following his senior season and was a member of 4 Super Bowl winning squads as an integral part of the famed “steel curtain” defense. Thomas, who was a Pro Bowl selection in 1976, played for the Steelers from 1973 until 1981 and ended his career at Denver playing with the Broncos in 1982.

Schedule For Monday, November 20, 2017

On Monday night, November 20th, the Macon Touchdown Club will welcome Coach Jeff Monken of Army as our feature speaker.

Army’s Jeff Monken is in his fourth year at West Point, and guided the Black Knights to a 21-17 win over the Naval Academy last season,  ending a 14 game losing streak to the Midshipmen. They also played in the 2016 Heart of Dallas Bowl making their first post season appearance since the 2010 Armed Forces Bowl. Prior to taking the job at Army, he was head coach at Georgia Southern for four years where he posted a 38-16 overall record and a 22-8 mark in conference play. His biggest win at Georgia Southern was a 26-20 victory over SEC power Florida. Prior to becoming head coach, he served under Paul Johnson as a running backs coach and special teams coordinator at Georgia Southern, Navy and Georgia Tech. Army is currently at 8 – 2 on the year, and heading to a second straight post season Bowl Game.

Schedule For Monday, November 13, 2017

On Monday night, November 13th, the Macon Touchdown Club will welcome Coach Shawn Elliott, Head Coach of Georgia State University as our feature speaker.

New Georgia State Head Coach Shawn Elliott makes his first appearance at the Club on November 13th. Coach Elliott takes over in Atlanta as coach of the Panthers after spending the last seven seasons at the University of South Carolina, where he worked with Steve Spurrier for 6 years and Will Muschamp during the 2016 campaign. He was co-offensive coordinator and offensive line coach for the Gamecocks before taking over as interim head coach when Coach Spurrier resigned midway through the 2015 season. He stayed on in Columbia after Will Muschamp was named Head Coach. He played at Appalachian State for Coach Jerry Moore and was named All Southern Conference Defensive end in 1995. He started his coaching career at Appalachian State before joining the South Carolina staff.
